In 1876 werd ijsvereniging Thialf al opgericht. In 1932 werden beide verenigingen samengevoegd. Op dit baantje leerde de kinderen schaatsen achter een hekje.&nbsp; Daarachter was de baan voor mensen die gewoon voor hun plezier wilde zwieren en leren schaatsen. In de keet op de achtergrond was een koek en zopie. Je er gevulde koeken, snert en warme chocolade melk kopen. Joop Vet zorgde voor de muziek die uit de luidsprekers schalde en die langs de baan opgehangen waren. Vooral de ijswals werd veel gedraaid.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\"
